Important Primary Deadlines
- Last Day to Register to Vote: Wednesday, July 8, 2026 (Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM in person/by mail, or 11:59 PM online).
- Mail-In Absentee Ballot Request Deadline: Must be physically received by our office no later than Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
No-Excuse Early In-Person Voting
Starting Tuesday, July 21, 2026 through Tuesday, August 4, 2026, any registered Clay County voter can vote early in person at any of the following satellite locations. No excuse or reason is required.

Updates to Your Polling Place Experience
Congressional District Realignment (HB1): Pursuant to state redistricting legislation under House Bill 1, all voters and precincts within Clay County are now situated within Missouri's 6th Congressional District. Your primary ballot will reflect candidates qualifying for this district.
Quicker, Easier Check-In Process: We have upgraded our check-in technology to save you time. When you arrive at your regular polling place, you no longer have to stand in a specific line based on your last name or precinct. Voters are welcome to approach any open check-in table or available election worker. Our new digital systems will process you instantly and ensure you receive your correct ballot layout immediately.
